What is Civics?

"Civics" (pronounced SI-viks) is very important!

It is important to learn about the rights and responsibilities of living in the United States. In ESL class, we study English and we learn about life in the U.S. When we learn about life in the U.S., we are learning about Civics. Civics also includes learning about U.S. government and becoming U.S. citizens.

Here are three examples:
  1. I drive a car. (I need to know the rules of driving. The government takes care of the roads.)
  2. I rent an apartment. (I pay my rent and keep my apartment clean. The landlord keeps the apartment building safe.)
  3. I am a U.S. citizen. I vote in elections to give my opinion.

    Civics is having a commitment with your city,country and family. Example;
    pay taxes
    respect the law
    participate in your childrens school meeting

    The United States is beautiful Country in the World, I want to live here for ever with my children. We are all working. I like the freedom. For example, I can go to school to study English.

    I have a job.(I know the right policy.)

    1. I have a job ( I have respect of all co workers.)

    2. I have a children.( I have responsiblity of my children health, food, school, and growth.)

    3. I have a car.( I have to get insurance.)

    I help my children to go to school. Ii is for their Future. I want them to become responsible adults. I want my children have a good life. I hope my dreams come true.

    Or the other Example is: That mean my idea for Education, If for myself, I have to go to school
    practice somemore English, reading, writing and
    speaking. I have to respect or love like family
    with my classmate or the other people " If I have chidren, I have to take care of them and make sure they be good kids or don't miss their
    school".

    i go at school and I love to learn
    Ihave a job (I like to help people with disability problems ther are lovely)
    I have freedom.
    Is very Beautiful Country Clean and the people is very nice
    I have my Own car and better oportunities to get a job , I have a good life
